Spring Summer 2012-13 Product Descriptions

Pesto Twirl
LP’s signature dip which combines our Red Rocket Pesto with a sweet & luscious traditional basil pesto twirled through a mix of cream cheese, Greek yoghurt, sour cream, capers & lemon juice.
The flavours of the two pesto’s & the creamy mix compliment one another beautifully.  Is also lovely stirred through warm pasta.

The Snazzy Salmon
A lovely light & delicate mousse made with pink salmon, fresh dill, lemon juice & sweet paprika.
Wonderful spooned over warm pasta or as a filling for cucumber cups.


Red Rocket Pesto
Roasted cashew nuts are combined with fresh parsley, rocket, garlic, luscious semi sundried tomatoes, roasted red capsicum, fruity extra virgin olive oil & grated parmesan.
This pesto teams well with grilled fish or chicken or stirred through warm pasta. 

The Chirpy Chickpea
Dried chickpeas, which have been soaked & cooked are combined with slowly roastted bulbs of garlic, ground cumin, tahini, cayenne pepper, tangy lemon juice, fruity extra virgin olive oil & fresh parsley. 

Blue 'va-voom' Vein Mousse
Bitey blue vein cheese is combined with cream, Worcestershire sauce & white pepper.  Silky smooth, light & very moorish!

Holy Guacamole
Creamy avocado combined with fragrant coriander, Spanish onion, mild green chilli, tangy lime juice, a dash of Tabasco & a bitey Greek yoghurt.
Beautiful on grilled Ciabatta bread or sour dough & lovely with chicken.

Cheeky Tsatsiki
Crisp cucumber & fresh mint combined with garlic, lemon juice & honey, a dash of cayenne, mixed through Greek yoghurt.
Lovely with lamb, on grilled fish or over marinated chicken. 
 
The Dizzy Beet
Roasted beetroot combined with cumin, cinnamon, roasted cashews, garlic, parmesan & Greek yoghurt swirled through a mixture of fetta, fresh parsley, garlic & extra virgin olive oil.  A wonderful combination of the sweetness of the beetroot with the tartness of the fetta. 

The Capsicum Trio
Roasted red, yellow & green capsicums are combined with lemon juice, Tabasco, sour cream & a little cream cheese.  A light & refreshing dip with a lovely tang.
  
The Saucy Gherkin
A big favourite with the kids...sweet gherkin mixed with fresh mint, spring onion, Dijon mustard, yoghurt, mayonnaise & lemon juice

Caramelised Onion & Hazelnut
Slowly caramelised onions & freshly roasted hazelnuts are combined with Greek yoghurt, sour cream, crispy fried shallots & fresh chives – a wonderfully smooth & moreish dip!
The Indian  Almond
Fresh spinach leaves combined with an Indian inspired mix of curry powder, cumin, all spice & lemon juice, cooked slowly & then mixed with roasted almonds, fresh mint & Greek yoghurt.
A lovely fresh dip with a great depth of flavour.

Salsa-sational!
Tomato, Basil & mild Chilli
A wonderful tribute to Summer, with vine ripened tomatoes, fresh mint, basil & parsley, combined with crisp celery, mild red chilli & spring onions.
Lovely spooned over grilled fish, chicken or lamb, combined with cooled penne pasta for a light pasta salad or as a bruschetta topping.

 Mango, Coriander & Cucumber
Sweet ripe mango  combined with fragrant  coriander, crisp cucumber, spanish onion & mild green chilli  - a refreshing Asian inspired salsa perfect for the warmer weather.


 Pate Maison
Fresh chicken livers cooked with smokey bacon, bay leaves, onion & garlic, then combined with brandy, roasted pistachio nuts & a wonderful French spice mix containing nutmeg, dried ginger, white pepper &  cloves.

The Funky Funghi
Button mushrooms slowly roasted with fresh thyme, balsamic vinegar & sunflower oil, then combined with finely chopped garlic & fresh parsley.
A meal in itself when piled onto freshly grilled bread brushed with a little extra virgin olive oil.

Baked Ricotta
Freshly made ricotta combined with fresh thyme, rosemary, chives & oregano, sundried tomato, garlic & lemon zest, baked slowly.
A great addition to any good antipasto platter.

Dukkah
An Egyptian inspired mix of roasted hazelnuts, coriander, sesame, cumin & fennel seeds, dried mint, black peppercorns & salt.  Beautiful to dip bread into after dunking in great quality olive oil or sprinkled over grilled meats or vegetables.
 
Olives
Garlic, Oregano & Lemon
Green olives marinated in a combination of fresh oregano, organic lemon, garlic & fruity extra virgin olive oil
Rosemary, Seeded Mustard & Honey
Kalamata olives marinated with fresh Rosemary, orange zest, honey, garlic & extra virgin olive oil
Red Wine, Chilli, & Thyme
A mixture of both Kalamata & green olives marinated in a soft red wine, fresh thyme leaves, mild red chilli, bay leaves & cracked pepper
